The full Office suite is now available for free, similar to Google Docs all applications (word, excel, powerpoint) will be hosted online (in the clouds!). Give it a try and see if it completes with the Office desktop experience!

looks like they closed the technical preview for the time being, too many downloads, it will be interesting to see how Google comes back at this, clearly these two companies will be at war with Google's announcement of there new freeware OS Chrome.
